If you are receiving direct payments for overnight short breaks you or your representative can choose to contact the manager of our short break service to arrange a package of short breaks tailored to your specific needs. To be eligible for direct payments an assessment completed by the local authority is required.
If you prefer services to be arranged for you the manager of our short break service will liaise with the local authority care management team who assessed your needs to facilitate your package of support. An opportunity to visit and plan your short break will be arranged at a time convenient for you once the local authority has agreed to purchase the service on your behalf.
You can speak to the manager of our short break service if you have accepted direct payments and then changed your mind. We will provide you with the contact details of your local authority so you can contact them to ask them to stop making direct payments and arrange services instead. Changing arrangements does not mean moving away from your preferred service provider.
Carol Harrison will be happy to discuss all aspects of your short break arrangements including your preferred method of booking and payment.
Booking Confirmation
Confirmation of your booking will be sent to you and, or, the local authority depending upon your preferred method of booking and payment.
